Description

Day 1 | Edinburgh
Leaving Edinburgh head towards Stirling and on towards Callander where you visit Mid Torrie Farm. Hilary and Bernard specialise in breeding Highland Cattle and are delighted to welcome visitors to their farm. From here you head towards the west of Scotland stopping for lunch at the renowned Loch Fyne Restaurant & Oyster Bar, an iconic establishment which started life as a small Oyster and Farm Shop in a shed in the lay-by at the head of Loch Fyne. Lunch here is not included in the package. Following lunch you travel through Kilmartin Glen. You will stop here to see the mysterious stone circles and standing stones and will have the opportunity to visit the community museum. Continue onto Loch Melfort Hotel. Enjoy a seafood dinner from the daily catch including such local delights as lobster, crab and langoustine. Overnight at Loch Melfort Hotel.

Day 2 | Oban
Commence your day with a meeting with the head chef to learn about the local food used in the 4-course gourmet menu for tonight. Later you continue on to Oban, the jewel in Scotland’s west coast and the seafood capital of Scotland. Stopping for lunch in Oban, you can try the Oban Seafood Hut at the harbour or Eeusk. You can pay a visit to the Oban Chocolate Company where you can see the team creating chocolate delights entirely by hand. Later that afternoon return to the hotel. Enjoy the 4-course gourmet dinner at your hotel.

Day 3 | Loch Ness - Inverness
Departing the hotel, cross the ‘Bridge over the Atlantic’ at Innish. From here continue to Fort William. Lunch today will be at the Station Road Restaurant in Fort Augustus. Expect an “off the wall” food experience in this 3 Rosette Restaurant led by chef Sean Kelly. Continue past Loch Ness and head to Ardersier Cheese at Connage Pantry. You will be able to see the production room, where you may be lucky enough to see the cheese-making process. Overnight in a centrally-located hotel in Inverness.

Day 4 | Inverness - Edinburgh
Depart Inverness and head into the Cairngorm National Park. At Aviemore you visit the Cairngorm Brewing Company, a craft brewery established in 2001. Explore the traditional recipes during your tour and tasting. You continue on to the House of Bruar where you find a range of Scotland speciality foods under one roof. The food hall is a true Mecca for the gourmet, featuring the very best of British and Scottish produce! Your lunch today will be at East Haugh House by Pitlochry, a beautiful small country house hotel famed for its excellent food. The afternoon allows for a walk in Dunkeld by the river, exploring Dunkeld Cathedral before returning back to Edinburgh.
